On June 22, 2010, the Southeast College held its first Entrepreneur Boot Camp in the lecture hall of the Angela Morales building. The Boot Camp was attended by people  who are interested in starting their own business.  We would like to thank our sponsors who helped make this possible-

  • Best Buy furnished the newest IPOD for a drawing,
  • Shipley Donuts provided breakfast,
  • Hartz Chicken donated lunch and
  • Tejas Office Supplies gave office products to the students.

Five guest speakers, all very successful entrepreneurs, provided important information and inspired the participants with their personal experiences at starting a business and overcoming obstacles to reach success.

  • Starting a Restaurant – Leopoldo “Polo” Becerra, Owner
  • Creating a Patent – Adeel Zaidi, CEO-Bullseye Evaluation
  • Social Marketing – Pablo Valle, MyBusinessSpace.com
  • Creating a Media/Print Co. – Mr. Wea Lee, CEO, Southern News Group
  • Lending Opportunities – John Hernandez, Sr. V.P. Amegy Bank
  • Franchise to Licensor – Tony Alvarez, CEO, IQ Kiosk

We would like to thank our guest speakers and our sponsors for making this a great day and a great start for new entrepreneurs!
