05-12193705-093353On May 5, 2017, HCC Spring Branch hosted the Small Business Lender/Borrower Matchmaking event.  It was organized by the Houston District Small Business Administration; a long-standing strategic partner of Houston Community College, particularly in entrepreneurial activities.

05-09522805-092003This is the fifth event of its kind held at an HCC campus; the first two were in 2015 at HCC West Loop and HCC Eastside.  Two more were held in 2016 at HCC Spring Branch and HCC Alief Hayes.

05-122327This Lender Match Up is the first ever to be held outdoors in the open, breezy spring air.  Mark Winchester, Deputy Director of the Small Business Administration, said the event on the patio was refreshing.  He mentioned that, because of the beautiful weather and a fully functioning setup, the participants were more relaxed and the borrowers seemed less nervous than at other Lender Match Up events.

05-093701HCC thanks the SBA and all the lenders and borrowers who participated.  Best wishes to all the borrowers and especially to those who have improved and polished their business plans for startup and expansion through HCC programs!
